Full-service design for residential and commercial spaces, from first sketch to the final styled room.
We treat every room as a chance to build something both beautiful and easy to live in. Our process blends thoughtful planning with hands-on styling, from the first conversation about how you use a space through to the final placement of decor. Whether it's a single room or a full home, we guide the whole arc: concept, sourcing, and setup.
Design fees cover our time and expertise, not the cost of furniture, decor, paint, window treatments, or fixtures. We'll share a list of trusted vendors during your consultation. Installation and construction work is handled by licensed, insured contractors and tradespeople, coordinated alongside our design direction.

Building a new home is the best time to get the details right. We work alongside your builder, architect, and contractors throughout construction, guiding finish selections and layout decisions so the home feels cohesive and considered from day one, not patched together after the fact.
We provide design guidance only. We are not your general contractor, builder, or architect, and our fees do not cover construction costs, materials, or labor. All construction and installation work is handled by licensed, insured professionals hired directly by you.
A well-designed home starts before the first wall is painted. Schedule a consultation by phone, email, or through Instagram or Facebook.
We bring the season to life with trees, mantles, garlands, and wreaths designed and installed start to finish, so you can enjoy the season instead of managing it. Every look is built around your style, whether that's classic, modern winter, or something cozier. When the season ends, we handle takedown too, everything is packed into labeled bins for easy setup next year, with offsite storage available if you'd like it.
Trees, ornaments, garlands, wreaths, and other decor are purchased separately by the client. Our fee covers the consultation, full installation, takedown, and secure labeled storage. Offsite storage is available for an added fee, and pricing varies by tree size and design complexity.
Holiday dates book up quickly. Reach out by phone, email, or Instagram/Facebook to reserve yours.
Good staging helps a space photograph well and feel welcoming the moment someone walks in. We work with homeowners and agents alike, either styling with your existing furniture and a few thoughtful edits, or bringing in pieces to furnish a vacant home for showing.
Staging pricing covers design, delivery, and styling, not deep cleaning, painting, or repairs. The home should be clean and photo-ready before we begin. For vacant homes, furniture and accessory rental is included in the price; pricing varies by square footage and layout.

The things clients ask most often, answered plainly.
Every project is different, so our design fees are based on the size, scope, complexity, and level of involvement required. A single-room transformation, a large renovation, and a whole-home design each require a different approach.
Nelson Home & Company works primarily through flat design fees rather than billing by the hour, site visit, phone call, text message, or email. We believe our clients should feel comfortable communicating with us throughout the process without worrying that every conversation is adding to their invoice.
Design fees cover our professional expertise, planning, sourcing, coordination, creative direction, and project involvement. Furniture, décor, materials, construction, fixtures, labor, and other project purchases are billed separately. Following the initial consultation, clients receive a clear proposal outlining the recommended scope and design fee before moving forward.
Nelson Home & Company is based in Owensboro, Kentucky, and serves clients throughout Daviess County and the surrounding Tri-State region. We work on residential and commercial projects and may consider projects outside our immediate service area depending on the scope and location.
Our full-service design experience is customized to each home, client, and project. Services may include developing the overall design direction, space planning, furniture layouts, color palettes, finish and material selections, lighting and plumbing selections, cabinetry guidance, furniture and décor sourcing, custom window treatments, artwork placement, vendor communication, contractor coordination, purchasing, installation planning, and final styling.
We remain involved throughout the process to help ensure every selection works together and the finished space feels cohesive, intentional, and personal. Our goal is always to create interiors that are timeless, livable, and warm—not spaces that simply follow a trend.
Yes. Nelson Home & Company works on renovations, remodels, new construction projects, and spaces involving significant layout changes. This may include kitchen and bathroom renovations, wall removal, revised room layouts, custom cabinetry, fireplace updates, flooring, lighting, plumbing selections, and other construction-related improvements.
We provide the design vision, selections, specifications, project planning, vendor communication, and contractor coordination. Construction and installation work is completed by the appropriate contractors and skilled tradespeople. We work closely with the client’s builder or contractor—or help connect clients with trusted professionals—to keep the design and construction process aligned.
Interior design is created for the people who live in and use the space. It reflects the client’s lifestyle, personal taste, daily routines, and long-term needs.
Home staging is designed to prepare a property for sale. The goal is to help prospective buyers connect with the home through thoughtful furniture placement, styling, photographs, and showings.
Both services require a strong understanding of scale, balance, color, and presentation, but the purpose of each is different.
Yes. Nelson Home & Company works alongside builders, architects, contractors, cabinetmakers, and other project professionals throughout the new-construction process.
Our involvement may include floor-plan review, electrical and lighting placement, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, tile, countertops, paint colors, hardware, doors, trim details, exterior selections, furnishings, and move-in styling. We help clients make selections with the entire home in mind so that each room feels connected and the finished result is cohesive.
The earlier we become involved, the more effectively we can help prevent rushed decisions, costly changes, and selections that do not work well together.
Clients are not required to purchase every item through Nelson Home & Company. However, products sourced through our trade vendors—and any associated preferred pricing—must be ordered and paid for through Nelson Home & Company.
We maintain relationships and accounts with furniture manufacturers, showrooms, artisans, and trade-only vendors, including sources that may not sell directly to the public. When an eligible discount is available, we pass that preferred pricing directly to our clients.
Clients may independently purchase retail items when appropriate, but independently purchased products are not eligible for Nelson Home & Company’s trade pricing or purchasing services.
Yes. Seasonal and holiday decorating is one of Nelson Home & Company’s signature services for both residential and commercial spaces.
Services may include design planning, sourcing, tree decorating, mantel styling, tablescapes, garlands, wreaths, entryway décor, installation, and overall seasonal styling. We can work with a client’s existing collection, source new pieces, or combine the two.
Our holiday designs are thoughtfully refreshed and reimagined from year to year so each season feels familiar and meaningful while still offering something new.
